Ayatollah Jannati: Elections in Iran Healthiest worldwide
Tehran, May 8– Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, said Friday that elections in Iran are the healthiest of their kind worldwide.
“Elections in Iran are the healthiest, the most democratic and the most glorious one of their kind worldwide,” said Ayatollah Jannati in his second Friday prayers sermon in Tehran University campus, while refuting claims that elections in Iran are not healthy.
Ayatollah Jannati, who is secretary of the powerful Guardian Council that oversees all national elections in Iran, told Tehrani Friday prayers worshippers that his Council is ready to ensure the 10th presidential elections on June 12 are held in a healthy manner and free of any fraud
