Iran: Israel's allies will be tried

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

                                                           Iran's President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Iran's President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, says Israel's allies will soon be tried in an international tribunal on charges of war crimes.

President Ahmadinejad criticized Israel's allies for their support of the regime and their involvement in the upcoming celebration of Israel's 60th anniversary in May.

"Such efforts would not change the Zionist regime's situation; the regime is doomed to extinction and such measures will not revive it," said Ahmadinejad.

The Iranian president criticized the global hegemony for lobbying against certain nations and added that their political systems had offered no solution to global crises.

He added that the governmental system in the US has brought about a grim political climate in the country and went on to describe the ongoing election campaigns as 'a worn-out puppet show'.

Referring to the 40-year antagonization of the Soviet Union and the demonization of Iran over the past 20 years, President Ahmadinejad opined that global powers 'have manipulated and continue to exploit world affairs for their own political gain'.

He maintained that Western threats only signal their inability to face the Islamic Republic concluding that 'today the nations of the world are fully aware that Tehran is only an enemy of Washington's inhumane polices.'
