Bushehr power plant completed by 92pc: Aqazadeh

Bushehr power plant has been completed by 92 percent, said Vice-President and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Reza Aqazadeh here Tuesday.

Aqazadeh made the remark while inspecting Bushehr power plant after inauguration of its logistic units.

Construction of a 360-MW nuclear power plant has also started along with activities to complete Bushehr power plant, he said.

Aqazadeh added, "In the first phase, the AEOI had planned to develop and acquire nuclear fuel cycle and in the second develop power plants."
With the completion of these two phases we have taken major strides in acquiring peaceful nuclear energy, he said.

Aqazadeh said, "Once fuel is supplied to Bushehr power plant, there will be no obstacle in way of its completion."
