‘Iranian youth plays leading role in scientific development’
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said Iran, enjoying ancient civilization and young generation, can play a key role in promotion of science and technology across the globe.
According to IRNA, the UN chief made the remarks in a message to a day-long conference on science, peace and development held in Tehran at Sharif University of Technology.
The message was read out by the UN Resident Coordinator in Iran Gary Lewis.
The message noted science and technology can play a leading role in global development and establishment of peace around the world.
The conference on science, peace and development is held on the occasion of the World Science Day for Peace and Development.
