Muslim students open mosque for public in U.S

Ali, third-year graduate student in economics, said MSA has had the open house at the Islamic Center, 1224 Hilton Heights Road, Consas, each of the three years he has been at K-State, always right after the All-University K-State Open House.Helping people from different backgrounds understand and respect each other was the purpose of the Muslim Student Association's open house on Saturday, MSA president Ashraf Ali said.

70 doctors volunteer for IIA’s free medical camp in Qatar

DOHA: About 70 doctors have volunteered their services at a free medical camp for low-income expatriates organized by the Indian Islamic Association jointly with the Indian Medical Association Qatar Chapter. The camp will be held at the Government Secondary School near Jaidah flyover on Thursday and Friday. The second of its kind in Qatar, the camp has been supported by the Ministry of Public Health and the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).

London Arbaeen-e-Hussaini procession scheduled

The annual Arbaeen-e-Hussaini procession in London under the auspices of Hussaini Islamic Trust UK is scheduled to be held in the second-last week of April 2003, with speeches in English, Urdu, Farsi and Arabic. This year procession will include Shabih-Roza of Imam Hussain (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS). The procession attracts up to 3000 men, women and children from all ethnic backgrounds including Pakistan, India, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, etc.
