Iran’s international environment exhibition comes to end
The 12th edition of International Environment Exhibition held in the Iranian capital of Tehran has wrapped up, Press TV has reported.
Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, head of Environment Protection Organization along with a number of scholars and researchers attended the opening ceremony held on December 19.
Over 500 companies from Iran and other courtiers such as China, Russia and Turkey presented their latest achievements focused on protecting the environment at the exhibition.
The 2012 edition of the exhibition was held with the slogan of “Promoting environment protection, basis for sustainable development”, in three main sections including natural environment, man and environment and maritime environment.
Each of the sections is comprised of various categories such as petrochemical products’ impact on the environment, big companies, urban areas, hospital waste, traffic, noise pollution and waste recycling.
Some 120 green industries have been honored for their achievements during the closing ceremony of the exhibition held on December 22, 2012.
