Words on Imam Musa Kadhim (A.S)

 imam kadhim (a.s)
Last Will and Testament

Imam Musa Kadhim (A.S) told Hesham ibn Hakam that he who lacks the following three qualities but sits at the seat of honor is an idiot:

1- He should answer when he is asked to.

2- He should speak when people fail to speak.

3- He should give an opinion in favor of the participants in that meeting.

Knowledge of People in Viewpoint of Imam Musa Kadhim (A.S)

Imam Musa Kadhim (A.S) said: “I found the knowledge of people in four things: First, to understand your Creator; Second, to know what He has done for you; third, to know what He wants from you; fourth, to know what pushes you astray from your faith.

Merit of Time

All Infallible Imams and their household have emphatic recommendations on the merit of time and the value of days. Imam Musa Kadhim (A.S) in one of his preaching sessions said: “He who spends two days without any improvement, he has sustained a loss. He whose second day is worse than his first day is damned. He who does not improve day by day, he will be on his way to loss. Better be dead he who sustains loss day by day.

Perfect Model

Imam Musa Kadhim (A.S) was a perfect model for all truth-seeking people. He was a person with utmost dignity, courage, generosity, devoutness, wisdom and piety in his time. Despite all these virtues, he feared God and used to keep vigil and perform nightly prayer while crying.

Imam’s Knowledge

Like his honorable father and his pious forefathers, Imam Musa Kadhim (A.S) was treasury of knowledge and virtues. Many renowned scientists and scholars have quoted scientific, religious and non-religious aphorisms from him that serve as the light for guidance of Muslims.

Imam’s Benediction

One of the benedictions Imam Musa Kadhim (A.S) used to recite was the following:

“O God, I ask of you ease at death and forgiveness on the Day of Reckoning”

When an Infallible Imam of such noble rank with all those virtues and piety seeks Allah’s mercy and forgiveness, how can we, the sinful human beings, neglect ourselves and be heedless of the consequences of our deeds?
