Tehran’s Friday Prayers Sermons

hojjat-ol-islam kazem sedighi

Tehran’s interim Friday prayers leader, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Sedighi, has called on lawyers, legal institutions, the international community, academics, intellectuals, university professors, artists, and owners of press and media to rise up against the blasphemous insults directed at the Holy Prophet of Islam, Prophet Muhammad (Blessings of God upon him and his progeny).

Addressing a huge crowd of Friday prayers worshippers and the faithful in Tehran, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Sedighi referred to the obscene and blasphemous insults of the Western world and the arrogant powers against the Holy Prophet of Islam, saying those who are behind this blasphemous and insulting campaign are very afraid of the spread of Islamic awakening throughout the world, which will limit their power and influence.

In further remarks, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Sedighi said from ancient times, the enemies of Islam resorted to all sorts of conspiracies and insults against the Holy Prophet of Islam, and the Holy Qur’an, but today, those who claim to champion democracy and human rights, but nonetheless, have committed such a blasphemous crime should be held accountable and answerable for their actions.

In further comments , Tehran’s interim Friday prayers leader said the objective behind the blasphemous and insulting campaign against the holy Prophet of Islam is to divide Muslim nations -- drive a wedge between Muslim nations – but that Muslim nations should maintain their unity, and should collectively ask the international community to take urgent action to prevent this insulting and sacrilegious actions from being repeated, because Islamic countries will not tolerate such behaviour.

Turning to the recent resolution of the IAEA Board of Governors regarding Iran's nuclear issue, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Sedighi stressed that some countries opposition to Iran's peaceful nuclear activities is unlawful, and lacks any legal justification, and they are simply using this as a pretext to hinder Iran's scientific and technological progress in peaceful nuclear technology.
