Iranian artists top China’s Intl. Caricature Art Competition

Iranian cartoonists Nasrin Abdosheikhi and Farkhondeh Torkamani have won top awards at the First International Caricature Art Competition in China.

The female cartoonists won the Excellent Award of the competition while the Golden Prize of the event was granted to MacDonald from Canada.

The first International Caricature Art Competition was held under the title of ‘Bruce Lee -- The King of Chinese Kong fu and Kong fu Film for our Eternal Memory...’ in an attempt to honor the late Kong Fu star Bruce Lee.

The event hosted more than 32 artists from different countries such as Egypt, Iran, Colombia, Germany, Russia, Canada, Spain and Belgium.

The competition’s Silver Prize went to Catarina Oliveira from Portugal and the Copper Prize was granted to Spanish artist Omar Alberto Figueroa Turcios.
