Dubai to host modern Iranian art

Dubai’s Total Arts gallery is scheduled to mount an exhibition of paintings created by four Iranian female artists in United Arab Emirates.

The show will display portraits and self-portraits by Soudeh Baqeri, Ahou Hamedi, Shideh Tami and Shahla Husseini-Barzi, ISNA reported.

According to the official website of the Total Arts gallery, the Iranian artists have used facial expressions, distinct brush strokes and light effects in their artwork to portray their inner selves.

The exhibition will kick off on December 12, 2011 and will run until January 10, 2012.
