Istanbul to host Iranian film week

Iran’s Visual Media Institute has arranged to hold an Iranian film week in the Turkish city of Istanbul in an attempt to introduce Iranian cinema and Persian culture.

Organized in collaboration with Iran’s cultural office in Istanbul, the city municipality and the Turkish Artists Society, the one-week event will kick off on October 10, 2011, Mehr News Agency reports.

Following the program’s success in Bursa in August, Iran’ s Visual Media Institute has planned to hold two more film weeks in the Turkish cities of Istanbul and Izmir.

Iranian Consul General in Istanbul Mahmoud Heidari stated that he was pleased to see that there was an opportunity for Turkish people to become more acquainted with Iranian culture.

Prophet Joseph, Satan Day, Hidden Sense, Lost Truth , Paradise Stop are among the films that will be presented with Turkish subtitles in a two-screening schedule every day during this cultural project.
