Iran is hosting the Fourth International Neurology Symposium at Tehran’s Milad Hospital.

The symposium has been successful in keeping the participants up to date with the latest technology, neurology treatment, and medical advances, said the chairman of the Symposium, Dr. Majid Samii.

It’s a meeting at which academics, researchers, clinicians and specialists make presentations on the field of neurology, he added.

The Executive Secretary of the Symposium Abdolnaser Aryan also added that Iran ranks first in the Middle East and stands above the world average level in the field of neurosurgery.

Dr. Samii is scheduled to hold a live surgery on the last day of the Symposium at Tehran’s Milad Hospital, where he will be demonstrating special techniques of neurosurgery for the attendants.

The three-day symposium, slated to end on October 1, will feature 20 foreign speakers from European and American countries and eight key addresses by the Iranian neurologists.

An exhibition of medical equipment and supplies is also held on the sidelines of the main event.
