Supreme Leader Urges Unity among Muslims
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei underlined the growing trend of Islamic awakening in the world, and stressed that unity plays a key role in Muslim’s prosperity.
"Today, Muslim’s prosperity lies in unity on the axis of Islam," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The Leader made the remarks in a meeting with top Iranian officials and foreign ambassadors. The gathering was held on the occasion of Eid-al-Mab’ath - the day when Muslim Prophet Muhammad was appointed to prophet hood.
"Islamic awakening has changed nation’s conditions. Muslim nations should use the monotheistic path available (to them) as an opportunity and take divine promise as something right," the Leader stated.
The Leader further noted that animosities towards Muslims are never ending, and added, "Anywhere there is awakening, enemies of mankind feel more danger and show more hostility."
Ayatollah Khamenei described the Islamic Republic of Iran as the flag-bearer of nation’s awakening, and underscored, "Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran well understands the sense of enmities, because it is the flag bearer of nation’s awakening; hence, it invites nations and governments to unity and dignity."
The Leader also slammed the US presence in the Middle East, and said Washington has spent a huge budget on launching wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and also on helping Israel in order to maintain instability in the Middle East.
Ayatollah Khamenei said Islam is opposed to such powers, describing them as corrupt.
