FM Zarif in New Zealand to boost ties
Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif arrived in Wellington on Saturday on the fifth leg of his tour to Asia Pacific countries.
After paying visits to Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei and Thailand, Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif arrived in New Zealand early Saturday.
Zarif is scheduled to meet with the country’s prime minister, foreign minister and a number of other ministers and senior officials to discuss the development of relations, particularly in trade and economic sectors.
Meeting Iranian nationals, private businessmen of New Zealand, and delivering a speech at a conference organized by New Zealand Institute of International Affairs are on his agenda in Wellington.
New Zealand lifted its sanctions against Iran On February 19 following the implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran’s nuclear agreement with 5+1 group of countries.
