Hezbollah has the right to acquire weapons

Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has warned incoming leaders in Tel Aviv against any Israeli aggression against Lebanon.

In his keynote speech marking the first anniversary of the assassination of Hezbollah’s senior commander Imad Mughniyah, Hezbollah’s leader said that all major Israeli parties have, in their terms in office, failed to eliminate Lebanon’s resistance and their recent botched blitz in Gaza confirms Tel Aviv’s inability to win a war.

"All the Israeli leaders who threaten us were defeated in Lebanon," Nasrallah said during his televised speech that was also broadcasted on Press TV. "Israel is not as mighty as it used to be and the resistance is also not as weak as it used to be," he noted.

Commenting on Israel’s ‘futile’ terror attacks to murder singled out resistance fighters, Hezbollah’s Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah stated, "The blood of the Martyrs has returned the citizens of Marjayoun, Hasbaya, Shebaa and Bint Jbeil to their lands and homes without differentiating between those who follow the majority or the opposition," stressing, "It’s therefore our duty to appreciate those martyrs and highly value their sacrifices."

Hezbollah’s Secretary General also cautioned the incoming Israeli government that Lebanon’s resistance will ‘rightfully’ carry out whatever it takes to curb any Israeli offensive, should the movement come under attack.

Nasrallah further more said "Every few days there is an Israeli media report that the resistance has obtained advanced air-defense weapons, of course I don’t deny or confirm this, what I want to confirm today is that we have every right to obtain any weapon, including air-defense weapons, and we have every right to use this weapon."

"We have the right to acquire any kind of weaponry, including anti-aircraft weapons, and we have the right to use it," Nasrallah emphasized, adding, "It is our right to possess any weapons, including air defense, to defend our land."

Moreover, Hezbollah’s Secretary General denounced some Arab leaders’ passivity over recent Israeli hostilities in Palestine, noting that such submissive stance will only embolden the regime in Tel Aviv.

In addition, Hezbollah’s Secretary General said that the resistance would continue to monitor Israel’s movements in the region regardless of the party that forms government in Israel.
