Kolineh and Seyyed Sadeq offensive operation (2) (March 6th, 1981)

eight years of holy defense

Following the occurrence of incentive in the Iran-related fronts, the appearance of offensive spirit in the troops and the achievement of superior position in confrontation with Iraq and due to the lack of complete success in the first phase of the Kolineh and Seyyed Sadeq operation, 81st armor division of I.R.I army together with some of the Revolutionary Guard Corps troops accomplished the second phase of Kolineh and Seyed Sadeq operation in Sarpol-e-Zahab local area.

The third brigade of this division was assigned a mission, on March 6th, 1980 to seize Kolineh and Seyyed Sadeq villages and Koor-e-Moosh height. The operation was launched on due time and after a day-long heavy battle the following Results were achieved:

Result:

-Kolineh village and the hill 577 were captured by the Islam combatants. -80 soldiers were killed, 150 wounded and 58 others were taken captive. -7 tanks and personnel carriers and 2 trucks loaded with ammunition and equipment were destroyed.
