12 Farvardin,Islamic Republic of Iran's Day

Iran

The Iranian nation, after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, made the historic and decisive choice of voting for the establishment of an Islamic Republic system through a two-day referendum held in March 1979, IRNA reported.

Over 98.2 percent of Iranians in the referendum voted ’yes’ to the Islamic Republic form of government, and since then April 1 has been observed every year as Islamic Republic Day.

Cherished be the day when the green verses budded on the arrival of the spring of the Islamic Revolution and a government, based on religious democracy, was born in the world and the justice and freedom began to rule the society. The world arrogance and the enemies of the Islamic Revolution, who have exerted all their efforts to make a failure out of it, are still continuing with their efforts. They should know that, as a result of the vigilance and resistance of Iran's Muslim and revolutionary people, they will fail in all their furtive attempts like they have over the past 30 years.

“Independence, freedom, the Islamic Republic“has remained the main slogan of the Iranian people since the onset of the Islamic Revolution.
