In defense of Roger Waters

John Rudolph"s views on Roger Waters" comments regarding the Israeli Wall (

The Wall, Thursday AFP) clearly demonstrate how totally out of touch John is with the views of Roger Waters.

There are hundreds of thousands of Waters fans out there that have followed Roger"s music, his views and his peace-loving politics for the past 30 years or so; in fact you can listen to almost any album to find out exactly where his heart really stands. Politics are in many tracks. It is too bad that you are so intolerant to a view slightly different than yours that you took the time to write this scathing article. It must have been frustrating for you not to be able to squeeze the word anti-Semitic into your article.

Johnny boy, I"ve got me some bad news for you, sunshine, this might not be what you expect it to be, but the wall is a simply a land grab, nothing more, nothing less. The Israel high court even said so. Ariel Sharon and Yasser Arafat are both cold-blooded, calculating killers that really do love the sport of wasting life and limb of men woman and children.

John, if you could just get past track five on "Dark Side of the Moon" and listen to the other gemsRogers has created; your attack on Roger would truly embarrass you.

Might I suggest listening to "The Fletcher Memorial Home," from the final cut, and please don"t take the last line personally.

And finally, if you want to stop the children ofPalestine strapping dynamite to themselves, let them have an education, give them something to hope for.

TEAR DOWN THE WALL!
