Grand Hussaini mourning procession in Ad-Daraz

AD-DARAZ, Bahrain: A grand mourning procession to pay rich homage to the Martyrs of Karbala was taken out in Ad-Daraz,Bahrain. Hundreds of mourners, including children, wearing black mourning dress and holding Alam of Hazrat Abbas bin Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib (AS) – the standard bearer of Hussaini Army - were beating their chests with grief. They were chanting elegies offering their deepest condolences to the prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) and his sacred family (AS) on the tear-jerking event of Karbala.

ALTA, Norway: Followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS) hold Marasim-e-Aza to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussain Ibn-e-Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib (AS) in Norway like other parts of the globe.
A daily mourning program is organized at Hussainiyah Umm-ul-Banin (SA). Ash-Sheikh Hassan Ar-Rehani addresses majalis, which commence at 7:30 PM with recitation of holy Quran.
Al-Haaj Kumayl Abu Younas and Muhammad Al-Motawwari recite dirges to pay homage to the Chief of the Youth of Paradise who saved Islam from destruction by his great sacrifice at the battlefield of Karbala. Ladies majalis program held at the same venue at 4:30 PM.

The African Muslim Agency (AMA), which is an offshoot of the Kuwait-based Direct Aid organization, has initiated three caravans in Madagascar. It also distributed emergency relief aid to the poor in the Zandar region of Niger, while in Togo it distributed clothes to the orphans at theAl-NoorCenter, and dug seven wells. Meanwhile, inGuinea-Bissau 24 people declared their Islam, while inBurkina Faso 58 individuals did the same, in the hands of the Da’awa activists of the AMA.

The Sheikh of Azhar, Dr. Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi, has held talks here with former Nigerian Minister of the Interior, Ibrahim Ahmed Kumas that were focused on the Islamic University in that country.Kumasi disclosed to IINA’s representative here that the university will be inaugurated next July, and would be fully operational by next year.
Kumasi said "the university cost US$ 2,000,000 to build, with grants from such countries as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Egypt". He said the university has aCollege ofShari’a and Islamic Studies, a College of Arabic, and a College of Education, adding that the curriculum would be the same as the one used at the Azhar.
Kumasi said that Azhar has agreed to second 34 lecturers to the Nigerian Islamic University, and added that the university also has a separate college for girls known as the Islamic College for Girls.
