Kyrgyz official describes Iran as influential country

Kyrgyz Finance Minister Olga Lavrova described Iran as an important country in the international arenas.

Lavrova made the remarks in a ceremony held at Iran's Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, commemorating the 34th victory anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.The Kyrgyz minister said the Islamic Republic of Iran has achieved great victories in the economic, technological and scientific fields.He further hoped Tehran and Bishkek would promote bilateral cooperation.Iran's Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Ali Najafi, who had attended the ceremony, said the Islamic Republic, as the current president of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and Kyrgyzstan which holds the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) presidency can help maintain global and regional peace and stability.
