Iran publishes Korean folktales for children
Iran has published two Korean folk tale books in an attempt to introduce traditions and culture of the Asian country to Iranian children.
Hyun-joo Bae’s Clothes for New Year’s Day and Dae In-jo’s Old Woman and the Tiger have been published by Iran’s Amroud Publications in Persian.
The books are translated into Persian by the Iranian-based Korean translator Hong Tae-yoo.
The wide use of onomatopoeia in the stories is cited among the most interesting characteristics of the books.
