Iran and Bolivia Condemn Military Intervention by Bullying Powers

Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and Bolivian President, Evo Morales, discussed the latest regional and international issues on Tuesday, and strongly condemned military intervention by the hegemonic and bullying powers. President Ahmadinejad who is currently in New York to attend the 66th United Nations General Assembly meeting, called for unity and solidarity of independent nations of this world, and emphasized that current changes and developments in Latin America are to the benefit of independent and freedom-seeking nations of this world.

In further remarks, the Iranian President referred to the basic principles of Iran’s foreign policies and stressed that these principles are unchangeable. He added: ”Nothing can affect the relations between Iran and independent nations of this world, and in particular, Bolivia”‌.

Elsewhere in his remarks, President Ahmadinejad referred to ample capacities for cooperation between Iran and Bolivia, and said expanding this cooperation will benefit both nations, as well as other regional countries.

For his part, Bolivian President, Evo Morales, described relations between Tehran and LaPaz as deep-rooted and friendly, and said Bolivia backs the principles and stances taken by the Islamic Republic of Iran, and that interference by other countries cannot affect the excellent relations between Iran and Bolivia.
