Message from Agha Seestani
With the Grace of Almightly Allah and by blessings of His last
Deputy Hazrat Imam Mehdi (a.t.f.s.)
Assalamualikum
Well, while my safarnama has come to an end some imortant things were still
left out. One of these was our visit to our Marja i.e. Syed H. Seestani.
Well, our meeting with him was sharp nine o' clock so we hurried to get
there on time. The place was like one would expect the cushions were lined
by the wall on the floor and a very simplistic look. After some time he
came down and we all sat around him. The men closer and the ladies at the
back but easily able to see him. Quite a few questions were asked but I
shall only mention 2. Firstly the one about music which was going around
ABDG before I left.
Q - What kind of Music is halal OR when is music halal?
A- There is 3 types of music which is permissible:
(1) War music
(2) Background music while announcing death of someone (say a noble
leader like Khomeni Saheb)
(3) For the peace of mind (with a big BUT) without letting the mind
loose to animal instincts
and only upto a point before the mind
wanders off into restricted
areas (if you know what i mean).
Q - Is there any message that you would like to convey to Shias around the
world?
Messge is :
(1) Follow and practise religion with punctuality
(2) Guide children towards the path of religion
(3) Help the needy and the poor
(4) If someone needs help regarding marriage- help out in whatever way
possible
(5) Be good to those who are not Shia
(Last but not the least)
(6) SHIA should be an example for others (so that by our
goodness
people can diffrentiate a shia of
Imam Ali from not a
follower)
That's all for the message part. A last note: The spiritual pull was so
much towards him that one just wanted to sit there and watch him. We sat
with him approximatlely an hour and it seemed as though we just came and
sat! Imagine how the people would surround our Imams! Like bees attached to
honey! How could someone want to leave the side of an Imam or our Prophet
(SAWW). They must cast a spell on their lovers! I mean they already have
without us seeing them imagine if we got to be with them......
This spirituality seems to have strenghthened Aqa Seestani quite a lot
because as we saw him dash upstairs to his room it was hard to believe it
was a 60 year old person it seemed more like a 20 yrs or younger man. No
exaggeration! You had to see it to believe it (mashaAllah).
